Chandigarh, (Bansal): In the cabinet meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal here on Thursday, approval was given to amend the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Rules, 2016. The State Government has enacted the Haryana Entrepreneurship Promotion Act, 2016 and related rules to create an ecosystem in the State which is compatible with the ease of doing business as well as the cost as well as the delay in doing business. The main role of the Empowered Executive Committee (EEC) is to examine the cases of incentives/special packages under various schemes/policies of the Government and recommend the same to the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board. Empowered Executive Committee (EEC) onwards GST Approves and recommends cases for special packages including reimbursement of Rs. However, the Administrative Secretary of the Excise and Taxation Department is not a member of the Empowered Executive Committee (EEC). There was a need to amend Rule 4(1) of the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Rules, 2016 to include the Administrative Secretary of the Excise and Taxation Department as a member of the Empowered Executive Committee (EEC).
