PM Modi said, some political groups are uniting to save corrupt people; Also asked people to be alert

Kochi, Agency. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a strong veiled attack on the efforts of opposition unity against the ruling BJP coalition government at the Centre. The Prime Minister, who arrived in Kochi on Thursday on a two-day visit to Kerala, said action against corrupt people is creating a new polarization in national politics. Some political groups are openly trying to unite to save the corrupt.

According to news agency PTI, the Prime Minister said that corruption is the biggest obstacle in the path of development as well as against the interests of the youth. However, we are seeing a new polarization emerge in national politics as soon as we take action against corrupt people. Some political groups are coming out openly and trying to organize as a unit to save the corrupt people. The people of India and Kerala have to be vigilant against such groups.

Addressing a large gathering of supporters outside the Cochin International Airport in Nedumbassery, Prime Minister Modi further said that the people of the state were looking towards the BJP with new hope. People have realized that BJP is working to bring change and development in the country.

Priority to give basic facilities to every citizen

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that providing basic facilities to every citizen of the country and creation of modern infrastructure is the topmost priority of his government. Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’, the government is working to provide houses to the poor. So far two lakh such houses have been sanctioned in Kerala and the construction of 1.30 lakh houses has also been completed.

Center spent one lakh crore on various projects in Kerala

The Prime Minister informed that the Central Government has spent about one lakh crore rupees on various projects in Kerala. The central government is working on a plan to open at least one medical college in every district of the country. This will greatly benefit the youth of Kerala.

Launched several projects

The Prime Minister also inaugurated several projects in Kerala, including the Railways and the Kochi Metro. He also laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of three railway stations. Railway’s 27-km-long double line project connecting Kuruppanthara-Kottayam Chingavanam has cost Rs 750 crore.

Prime Minister visited the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya

Prime Minister Modi also visited the Adi Shankara Janmabhoomi area, the birthplace of the great saint and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya, located at Kalady village in Ernakulam district and paid his respects. Before leaving for Kalady village, the Prime Minister recalled the contribution of Adi Shankaracharya to the country. He said that spiritual great men and social reformers like Narayana Guru, Chattampi Swamikal and Ayyankali have carried forward the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya. The birthplace of Shankaracharya is situated on the banks of river Periyar.

PM will dedicate the first indigenous aircraft carrier to the nation tomorrow

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant to the country in Kochi on Friday. It is the largest aircraft carrier ever built in India’s maritime history. The Prime Minister will also unveil the new Naval Flag (mark) in the event organized to mark the occasion.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the cost of construction of this ship has been around Rs 20,000 crore. With the construction of this ship, India has joined the club of select countries to have the capability to build a 40,000 tonne aircraft carrier. Till now only America, Britain, Russia, China and France had this capability.
