Solan Crime News State Excise and Taxation Department Baddi District Solan has taken major action in last three days under GST and Excise Act in Baddi Barotiwala and Nalagarh area. At different places, the teams of the department checked the e-way bills and baggage documents of the vehicles by putting up nakas.

Solan Crime News, State Excise and Taxation Department Baddi District Solan has taken major action in the last three days under GST and Excise Act in Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh areas. In this, the teams of the department checked the e-way bills and baggage documents of the vehicles by putting up nakas at different places. During this, on checking the documents of the luggage, the e-way bill and other bills of the goods loaded in seven trucks were found not correct.

The goods loaded in the trucks were iron scrap paper, plywood and bars. The value of the goods loaded in these trucks was estimated at 53 lakhs. On this, a fine of more than 20 lakhs has been imposed under GST. The amount of this fine has been deposited in the government treasury. Meanwhile, the department also raided a grocery shop in Bhurawala under the Excise Act 2011. 25 half and pave of country liquor and six bottles of beer made for sale in Chandigarh were caught from this grocery shop.

After registering a case under the Excise Act 2011, further action was taken. Officers of the department, Assistant Commissioner State Tax and Excise Suresh Thakur, Jeevan Lal Vatsi, Pawan Kumar and Assistant State Tax and Excise Officers Deep Chand, Vijay Kumar, Naman Gautam, Balveer Singh, Pawan Kumar were involved in this action. Baddi’s revenue district in-charge Preetpal Singh said that action is being taken against those who evaded tax.
