Tamil Nadu Congress Party leader KS Azhagiri expressed hope that Rahul Gandhi’s foot pilgrimage would lead to a change in government at the centre.
A meeting was held in Salem with the Congress leaders of Salem, Namakkal, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts in view of the launch of ‘Let’s connect Bharat’ foot pilgrimage of former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Earlier, KS Alagiri told reporters:
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will undertake a pilgrimage from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on September 7. The pilgrimage begins at the Gandhi Memorial. The Pada Yatra is conducted to bring unity among the people of India and to improve the moribund economy. The country’s economy is badly damaged. Small and micro industries are paralyzed.
Through this Pada Yatra there will be a change of regime in the country; There will be a change in people’s minds. This foot pilgrimage is conducted to demonstrate unity in diversity.
Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai has been talking arrogantly about the Tamil Nadu Finance Ministry without political civility. The ups and downs are in the BJP. His uncivilized speech is wrong; Reprehensible.
Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai says that the Enforcement Department will inquire about Power Minister Senthil Balaji. What is he talking about like this? The BJP is spreading false information that it is boycotting allied parties in the padayatra program in which Rahul Gandhi will participate. There is no truth in this. It is entirely a program of the Congress party.
He said that Chief Minister M.K.Stal will hand over the National Flag to Rahul Gandhi and start the Pada Yatra.
During the interview, former Congress leaders KV Thangapalu, EVKS Ilangovan, S. Thirunavukarasu, MLA. G. Selvaperunthagai, Salem Metropolitan District Leader Baskar, Deputy Mayor M. Saradadevi were present.
