Many other leaders including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address this rally. Congress workers from different parts of the country are participating in the rally. In view of this Congress rally, tight security arrangements have been made around Ramlila Maidan. Additional police force has been deployed so that the situation remains normal. Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory on its official Twitter handle, informing commuters about the road closure.
According to the police, paramilitary forces have been deployed along with the local police at the rally site. Delhi Traffic Police had tweeted on Saturday, “Due to the call for rally by Indian National Congress at Ramlila Maidan, road will remain closed in some parts of the venue around the venue.”
The traffic police advised commuters to avoid certain sections, which will remain closed due to the rally. The advisory states that Ranjit Singh Flyover from Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, Vivekananda Marg (both sides), JLN Marg (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk), Kamla Market around Guru Nanak Chowk, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate to Asaf DDU-Minto Road Red Light Point towards Ali Road and Kamla Market will remain closed.

Congress leaders held press conferences in 22 cities across the country earlier this week and gave a call for “Delhi Chalo” for the “Delhi Par Halla Bol Rally” at Ramlila Maidan on September 4. Senior Congress leaders including former party president Rahul Gandhi will address the rally.
Gandhi had said in a Facebook post that the biggest problems facing the country today are unemployment, inflation and growing hatred. Congress spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh said the central government was “misusing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to “silence the opposition”, but the party was concerned about rising inflation and essential food items. Will continue to raise voice against the imposition of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
