Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated 4 smart schools in Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that in the city, 22 unique smart schools have been completed and today four schools have started, which will benefit more than 3200 students. Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived on a one-day visit to Gujarat today. During this he will be involved in three major programs.

It has started with the inauguration of smart schools of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. After this, Home Minister Amit Shah will also attend the All India Jail Duty Meet. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the closing ceremony of the 36th National Games-2022 and the closing ceremony of the 11th Khel Mahakumbh at Transstadia, Kankaria at around 7 pm.

The 6th All India Jail Duty Meet program is being organized by the Bureau of Police Research and Development. This program will start from today and will run till 6 September. Along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi will also be present at the inauguration of this program. Employees of administration and police departments of about 19 states and union territories will participate in this day-long program. According to Gujarat IG KLN Rao, Ahmedabad last organized the AIPDM in 2007, which was the second meeting so far.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is constantly visiting Gujarat. In fact, assembly elections are also to be held in the state at the end of this year. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah, who had visited Gujarat, had attended the first convocation ceremony of the National Forensic Science University as the chief guest. During this, he had said in his address, the central government is seriously working on strengthening the Evidence Act and for this it is talking to experts in the Indian Penal Code, and criminal cases. The government will make forensic investigation mandatory for serious offenses of more than six years.
