Amaravati: There are chances of rains in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the next three days. To this extent, the weather department in Amaravati has warned people to be alert. It has been revealed that there is a possibility of light to moderate rains at many places in the state under the influence of south and south-east winds. It said that heavy rains will occur in many parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning rains in many places.

The water level of Srisailam reservoir reached 884.80 feet on Saturday evening. The flood flow of 1,32,829 cusecs from upper projects namely Jurala and Sunkesula reaches Srisailam. 55,966 cusecs of flood water is released to Nagarjuna Sagar through 2 radial crust gates opened at a height of 10 feet.
