The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has instructed all the district magistrates of the state to conduct a survey regarding the education system of madrasas. Unrecognized madrassas will be surveyed in UP and after that the report will be submitted to the administration. At the same time, Maulana Mahmood Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, has called a meeting on 6 September to oppose the survey of madrasas. He said that the government has made a plan to destroy madrasas.
Mahmood Madani has called a meeting on Tuesday (September 6) against the survey of madrasas. People associated with big madrasas of UP will be involved in this. All these people are running madrassas with non-government support. After the government announcement, the further strategy will be prepared after meeting with Mahmood Madani.
Actually, there was a meeting recently regarding the survey of mosques in UP. In this it was made clear that SDM, BSA and district minority officers will be included in the survey team. The team will submit the report to the administration after its survey. Only after inspecting the report received from the SDM or Additional District Magistrate, the District Magistrate will forward the report to the government. Instructions were given to conduct the survey of madrasas by October 5. Its report has to be sent to the government by October 25.
At the same time, UP Minister of State for Minorities, Danish Azad Ansari had said that survey is necessary to know the status of unrecognized madrassas. A team will be formed for the survey by September 10 and the report will be submitted to the government by October 25. This step is very important for modern education in madrasas. He had said that the Madrasa Board is working continuously throughout the state for good education in madrasas. From this survey, the complete data of madrasas will be with the government, so that it will be easy for future plans.
