Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed confidence that there is even zero chance of India going into recession and on the contrary India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow in double digits.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has mentioned that the Indian economy is on the path of improvement due to the increase in consumption and measures taken by the Reserve Bank to control inflation. Nirmala Sitharaman stated that India is strong compared to other countries internationally and said that she is working to take the economy to double digit growth.
“India’s economy is in good shape. We are truly a fast growing economy. “Any government after coming to power should assess its financial situation in terms of tax revenue and others and make necessary arrangements before giving freebies,” said Nirmala Sitharaman.
Earlier, the country’s economic growth in the first quarter of this financial year (2022-23) is 13.5 percent. However, it is worth noting that India’s economic growth in the first quarter of the last financial year (2021-22) was 20.1 percent.
