Madikonda, September 23: The Madikonda police have registered a PD act against six ganja smugglers. Kazipet ACP Srinivas disclosed the details in a press conference organized at Madikonda Police Station on Friday. He said that it is the first time that the PD Act has been registered against six people at the same time under the jurisdiction of Warangal Police Commissionerate. On June 14, the task force and Madikonda police conducted vehicle checks at Tekulagudem Cross on the Outer Ring Road. Six people were arrested along with 520 kg of ganja which was being transported from Odisha to Maharashtra in two cars. Two cars and mobiles were seized from them, they were arrested and remanded.
Among them, Begari Sandeep Kumar, Pocharam Sivaraju, Pocharam Dhanraj, Palle Vinod Kumar of Pocharam village, Sarkur Rahul of Patancheru, Sangareddy district, Erpula Vishal of Rayakodu village of Marpalli village of Regodu mandal of Medak district. On the orders of Warangal CP Tarunjoshi, Central Zone DCP Ashok Kumar said that a PD act has been registered against these six accused. It is stated that he went to those who are serving sentence in Charlapalli Jail and handed over PDACT orders. As a result, these six will have to stay in jail for another year, he said.
Crackdown on ganja smugglers
Kazipet ACP said that they are cracking down on ganja smugglers and traffickers in Warangal Police Commissionerate. The youth want to walk in the right path without getting caught by peddlers.
