National Tiger Conservation Authority study revealed

Today, Hyderabad: Tigers are losing protection in forest areas. They are losing their lives due to poachers and accidents in dense forests. In 2022, a total of 117 tigers died in the country. It means that every month around 10 tigers lose their lives due to various reasons. In the last ten years (2012-2022), this number has reached 1062. This was revealed in a study by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). The death of 9 tigers in last ten years in Telangana is worrying. But in 2022, no deaths will be recorded in the state.

So far 270 tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh, 184 in Maharashtra, 150 in Karnataka, 98 in Uttarakhand, 71 in Assam, 66 in Tamil Nadu, 56 in Uttar Pradesh and 55 in Kerala. If we look at the deaths of tigers month wise in the last decade (2012-2022), it seems that they are facing rough conditions in summer. There are fewer deaths during the rainy months when the forest is greener. January 128, February 85, March 123, April 112, May 113, June 88, July 70, August 55, September 46, October 53, November 85, December 104… The season of leaves starts from December and January. In the summer when the trees are dry the animals are easier for hunters to see. More than three fourths of all the tigers in the world are in our country. The number of these has been increasing over the years. At the same time, it is worrying that tigers are dying due to poachers.
