Air India is preparing to invest Rs 3500 crore in Haryana and for this wants to start training in the state. In this series, a heliport will be set up in Sector-84 of Gurugram. With the establishment of this heliport, Delhi’s air space will get a new option.
At the same time, under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), various cities of Haryana will be connected with the cities of northern states. This information was given by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Dushyant Chautala. He was presiding over a meeting of officers of Central Government Organization Pawan Hans, Air India, State Aviation Department at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala also held talks with Sunil Bhaskaran, director of Air India Aviation Training Academy. The Deputy Chief Minister informed that the state government has suggested to go ahead with Guru Jambheshwar University (GJU) and Hisar Cluster for engineering training to start the training academy.
For pilot and cabin-crew training under simulators, the government has suggested opening of academies at Patli-Hajipur and ATL Sohna. Under this, within a week, Air India will explore these places and provide information to the state government.
Dushyant Chautala informed that soon a heliport will be set up in Sector 84 of Gurugram, the plan is in final stages. Provision has been made to construct a terminal for 100 passengers at the heliport. It includes facilities like hangar, parking, repair etc. to keep small and big helicopters. The heliport will have a runway of 300 meters and will also facilitate quick landing and takeoff of helicopters and will be manned 24 hours a day.
Preparing to add other states
The Deputy CM said that moving forward under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), Haryana is taking the lead and in this direction, proposals have been sent to the Central Government for aviation connectivity between Hisar, Ambala and Karnal to the cities of the northern states of the country. Huh. This scheme includes Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh including Haryana. Primarily, there is a plan to connect Hisar to Jaisalmer, Hisar to Jaipur, Hisar to Agra, Ambala to Varanasi, Ambala to Gorakhpur etc cities under this scheme.
Hisar airport’s boundary wall will be completed by March 31
Talking to reporters, Dushyant Chautala said that the work of boundary wall of Hisar airport is going on on a war footing and its work will be completed by March 31. Similarly, the work of the runway of Hisar airport will also be completed in the next one to one and a half months. In response to a question regarding the general budget, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the amount of Rs 500 crore earmarked for Rakhigarhi should be further increased.
