It rained in the mountainous areas even after Friday afternoon. The higher reaches of Pithoragarh district received snowfall on Thursday night and Friday. The Tawaghat-Lipulekh road has been closed between Bundi and Chhiyalekh due to snowfall and debris. There are reports of 10 vehicles stranded on the route. The high Himalayan region of Dharchula and Munsiyari received heavy snowfall on Thursday night. Beas and Darma valleys of Dharchula received heavy snowfall.

The Tawaghat-Lipulekh road connecting the China border was closed due to snowfall and debris. Due to this, about 10 vehicles are stranded. Traffic is expected to be smooth by Saturday. Here in Pithoragarh and other parts of the district, the weather remained normal on Friday morning. It became cloudy in the afternoon. Snow fell on the peaks in the evening.

In Almora district, Rabi crop has got lifeline due to the heavy rains on Thursday evening. After the rains, the crisis of drought on the crop has been averted. Agricultural scientists have described rain as beneficial for crops. He expressed hope that the crop yield would be good. Almora received 26.5 mm of rain. Here in Nainital, there was rain and hailstorm in the afternoon. Due to the continuation of this mood of the weather for three hours, people had to face difficulties. Winds continued to blow throughout the day in Haldwani as well. It rained in Bhimtal as well.

At the same time, hailstorm can occur in areas with a height of less than three thousand meters. Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Centre, said that thunder and lightning would occur in the hilly districts of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri and Kumaon divisions. Apart from this, cold winds will also blow in many areas. On March 19, rain is expected at many places in the state.
