Chennai: Chennai – Coimbatore Vande Bharat train is said to stop at 5 stations.
In 2019, the Ministry of Railways introduced the indigenously manufactured modern high-speed trains named Vande Bharat Express. In this train, the engine is not alone but is coupled with the train. The train has many modern facilities like automatic doors, AC, Wi-Fi, GPS, audio, video information facilities, bio-toilets. These types of coaches were manufactured at the ICF factory in Chennai.
There are currently 10 Vande Bharat trains operating across India. Its first service was launched on the Delhi – Varanasi route. 5th service started on Chennai – Bengaluru – Mysore route. In this case, it is said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to start the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat train service soon.
It is said that this train is likely to stop at 5 railway stations including Chennai Central, Gadbadi, Salem, Tirupur and Coimbatore. It is also said that the travel time from Chennai to Coimbatore is likely to be 6 to 6.30 hours. It has been reported that the speed of the train is likely to be between 80 and 90 kmph.
