The corruption of the Municipal Corporation has been exposed in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. The Hatkeshwar flyover bridge built in the eastern part of the city is closed for the last 9 months. So far, reports of 4 agencies have come in the name of investigation. Bad material has been revealed in everyone’s report, but instead of taking action on the responsible officials and the construction agency, the Municipal Corporation is conducting an inquiry on the investigation. Sometimes slabs are checked and sometimes pillars are being checked. It was claimed that this bridge would last for 50 years but it could not run properly even for 5 years.

Slab and pillar very weak, bridge strength only 20 percent

Fast development is the mantra of BJP in Gujarat, but the bridge built 5 years ago in Ahmedabad has become a headache for BJP. The reason is that the officials of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation created a big scam in the construction of this flyover. The situation is such that now the time has come to demolish this Hatkeshwar flyover bridge. This flyover is closed for the last 9 months. The slab and pillar of the flyover are very weak. The strength of the bridge is only 20 per cent. Bad material has been revealed in the report of 4 agencies. But the officials of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation are trying to cover themselves up by citing the investigation.

Cracks came only after 4 years of construction
The investigation of this Hatkeshwar bridge is going on for the last 9 months. First the slab was checked and now the pillar is being checked. Significantly, the construction of this Hatkeshwar flyover bridge started in the year 2015. In 2017, the flyover was completed and opened to the public. After 4 years, suddenly in 2021, cracks appeared in the flyover, then the Municipal Corporation got it repaired and got the flyover started again. But in 2022, once again cracks appeared in the flyover. After which the flyover was completely closed.

Overbridge was claimed to last for 50 years
When this bridge was being built, it was claimed that this bridge would last for 50 years, but due to the use of poor material, it could not last even for 5 years. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has not yet taken any action in the matter of this bridge which has become an example of corruption. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation says that different teams are working to investigate the Hatkeshwar flyover.
