Padharpur Ashadhi Wari 2023: Pandharpur Wari Schedule Announced; Departure of palanquins on ‘these’ dates

Ashadhi Padharpur Wari Dates Announced: Pandharpur Vari, which is a festival of the entire Maharashtra, will start in a few months, and for this, the dates for the palanquin of saints have been announced in the direction of Pandharpur. Alandi Mandir Committee has announced Wari program after Dehu Sansthan of Sant Tukaram Maharaj. According to which, on Jyeshtha Krishna Ashtami i.e. 11th June 2023 at 4 pm, Sant Shrestha Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s palanquin will depart towards Pandharpur.

How will Mauli’s palanquin ceremony be?

On 11th June 2023, Sunday around 4 pm, the palanquin of Dnyaneshwar Mauli will depart from the Darshan Mandap of Alandi Temple. After which this palanquin will travel to Pune Bhawanipeth, Pune, Saswad, Jejuri, Walhe, Lonand, Tardgaon, Airport Phaltan, Barad, Natepute, Malshiras, Gharpur, Bhandishegaon, Wakhri and Pandharpur along with Varakry.

After a journey of 17 days, this palanquin will enter Pandharpur on 28 June 2023. After that, there will be Nagar Pradakshina of Palkhi and Chandrabhaga Snan on June 29, 2023 i.e. Ashadhi Ekadashi. The palanquin will stay in Pandharpur till July 3, and on the same day, after the Vitthal-Rukmini visit, the palanquin’s journey to Parchi will start from Wakhri.

How will the journey of Tukobaraya’s palanquin be?

Before Mauli’s palanquin departs from Alandi, Sri Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s palanquin will depart from Sri Kshetra Dehu. One day earlier, i.e. on 10th June 2023, this palanquin will depart from Eenamdar Saheb Wada, Dehu. Further this palanquin will reach Wakhri via Akurdi, Nanapeth Pune, Loni Kalbhor, Yawat, Varwand, Udambadi Gawlachi, Baramati, Sansar, Anthurne, Nimgaon Ketki, Indapur, Sarati, Akluj, Borgaon, Pirachi Kuroli. On June 28, 2023, the palanquin will stay at Sant Tukaram Maharaj Mandir (new building) in Pandharpur. Palkhi Nagar Pradakshina will take place on June 29, 2023.

Every year a large number of youth also attend the palkhi ceremony.
