However, the chill has increased in the morning and evening. The temperature remains near normal. It is not raining due to the slackness of the Western Disturbance.
Some days the weather will be normal
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be normal in the state for the next few days. In the first week of December, there may be light rain and snowfall at some places. Amidst the increasing cold in the morning and evening in the state, bright sunshine is giving relief during the day.
In such a situation, the temperature has also reached a bit higher than normal. However, the minimum temperature is normal in most areas. Apart from this, the snow that fell in the hilly areas in the past has also melted. There is relief from the cold in the scorching sun during the day.
There may be a slight drop in temperature
According to Bikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Center, the activity of Western Disturbances has reduced a lot in the state. Due to which there is no rain and snowfall. The weather is expected to remain dry for the next few days. There may be a slight drop in the temperature.
Corporation started preparations for bonfire as the cold increased
The weather is getting colder. Municipal Corporation has also started preparations regarding this. The corporation is making arrangements to light bonfires in the city. Wood has been tendered for this. Along with this, the night shelter is also being rectified.
With the onset of winter, the difficulties of those who spend the night under the open sky have increased. To give relief to the people, the Municipal Corporation is preparing to start the system of bonfire. For this, the Municipal Corporation has issued tenders for wood.
Preparations are on to start the bonfire in December. Apart from this, the appearance of the night shelter of the Municipal Corporation is also being improved. There will be cleaning. Also, bedding will be arranged. Municipal Corporation’s Assistant Municipal Commissioner SP Gupta told that tender is being issued for the bonfire. The rates of wood have been sought from the Forest Department. Wood will be bought at this rate. Beds are being installed in the night shelter. So that destitute people can rest here at night.
Bonfires are lit at more than 50 places
Roorkee: Bonfires are lit in all the 40 wards by the Municipal Corporation in the city. Apart from this, the corporation also arranges bonfires at the main intersections of the city, public places like railway stations and bus stands. More than 50 places have been marked for the bonfire.
