The construction of a new bridge over river Ganga in Buxar has been completed at a cost of 89 crores. This bridge was under construction for the last 5 years. After the investigation of the engineers, it has been made smooth for the movement of vehicles. It is built parallel to Veer Kunwar Singh Setu, the old bridge of Buxar. It is being told that it may be inaugurated next year.

With the construction of the bridge, now even big vehicles can easily come from UP to Bihar. Also, it has become easier for the people of Bihar to go to Delhi and Ayodhya. NH-922 of Bihar has been connected to Purvanchal Expressway of UP through this bridge. By road, the distance from Patna, Buxar to Delhi via UP will be completed in less time than by train.

The operation of heavy vehicles was banned from the year 2012 due to dilapidation of the old Veer Kunwar Singh Setu connecting Buxar and Ballia of UP. Due to this, heavy vehicles had to go to UP via Patna, Chhapra or Karmnasha bridge. At the same time, due to traveling extra distance, the trade between the two states was also deeply affected. With the construction of the bridge, the trade between the two states has also got wings.

The plan for a four-lane road from Buxar to Purvanchal Expressway has also been approved, but there is still some time to be completed. However, the current two-lane road is also fine. As soon as the movement started on the new bridge connecting Bihar and UP, the load of vehicles has increased.

Let us tell you that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Shri Ram on one hand, while Buxar is being linked to the place of education and work of Shri Ram. Due to this, Ram devotees keep coming from Buxar to Ayodhya and from Ayodhya to Buxar. At the same time, the Purvanchal Expressway is being linked to Buxar with Shri Ram Circuit. It has become easier for people to visit Ramlala in Ayodhya. Its construction work started from the year 2018, which has been completed in the year 2023.
