Weather Update: The weather has remained pleasant due to rain in many areas of Rajasthan including Haryana, Delhi-NCR. The rain has provided respite from the heat. This rain is happening due to the active Western Disturbance.
According to the Meteorological Department, now the Western Disturbance has concentrated around Delhi. Due to which even today it may rain in many areas of West India including Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana and Western UP.
Weather systems across the country:
A cyclonic circulation is over North Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab.
Another cyclonic circulation is over Gangetic West Bengal.
The east-west trough is now extending from the cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and Punjab to Bangladesh across South Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, South Bihar and Jharkhand and the cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal.
The north-south trough is extending from southeast Madhya Pradesh up to Coastal Karnataka across Vidarbha, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
Weather disturbances across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells occurred over Northeast India, parts of West Bengal and North Rajasthan.
Light to moderate rain occurred with isolated light to moderate rains over parts of Western Himalayas.
Light to moderate rain occurred at a few places over Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Coastal Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While light to moderate rain was observed at one or two places over Madhya Maharashtra and Lakshadweep.
Dust storm occurred in many parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Light rain occurred in Southwest Madhya Pradesh.
Likely weather activity during next 24 hours
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with dust storm very likely over parts of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain and snow is possible at one or two places in the higher reaches of the Western Himalayas.
Light to moderate rains may occur over Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Light rain is possible at one or two places over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.
