UP Weather Update: Last week of May in UP Season In terms of giving great relief to the people. Despite being the month of Jeth and Nautpa, there is relief from the heat in most parts. Due to western disturbance, the weather has changed in the state and due to rain and strong winds, a drop in temperature has been registered.
On Saturday morning, the sun came out amidst the clouds in many places including Lucknow and surrounding districts, but the effect of rain was seen in the weather. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain and thunderstorm in most parts on Saturday. On the other hand, due to strong winds with rain in the areas of NCR on Saturday, the weather has completely changed. The visibility on the roads is also low due to the clouds. Flights are also being said to be affected due to rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
According to the Regional Meteorological Center, Lucknow, Western Disturbance is the biggest reason for the change in the weather of the state. In the latest situation, the east-west trough is now moving towards South Uttar Pradesh. Due to this the temperature will be affected.
There is rain and thunderstorm in most parts of western UP on Saturday, while light rain may occur at some places in Purvanchal. The effect of the alert of strong winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km per hour is also being seen in western UP. An alert has been issued for rain and strong storm in many areas of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut of NCR.
Now the maximum temperature in the state has reached below 40 degrees. In the last twenty-four hours, the highest temperature of 39 degrees was recorded in Lakhimpur Kheri, while the minimum temperature was recorded in Bareilly and Meerut at 17.45 degrees.
According to meteorologists, a cyclonic circulation is over North Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab. Another cyclonic circulation is over Gangetic West Bengal.
The east-west trough is now extending from the cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and Punjab to Bangladesh, passing through the cyclonic circulation over South Haryana, South Uttar Pradesh, South Bihar and Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. The north-south trough is extending from southeast Madhya Pradesh up to Coastal Karnataka across Vidarbha, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, the weather will remain pleasant in the remaining days of May.
