The Meteorological Department has said in its estimation that two systems have become active due to Western Disturbances around the Arabian Sea. Due to this, a cyclonic circulation will form in the Southeast Arabian Sea on June 5. Due to this, heavy rains may occur in many districts of South Saurashtra and South Gujarat between June 7 and 11.
However, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of timely arrival of monsoon in the state. According to this, monsoon will reach Kerala soon. After Kerala, monsoon will enter Maharashtra and then Gujarat.

Meteorologist Ambalal Patel’s prediction regarding monsoon in Gujarat has also come to the fore. It is raining in Gujarat for the last three-four days due to Western Disturbances. Another cyclonic system will be active during the night, bringing wind speed reaching 40 kmph over the state. Due to which rain is expected in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Surat, Valsad. Along with this, rain with wind has also been predicted in Navsari, Daman, Saurashtra, Kutch.

Fishermen advised not to go to sea
On Sunday, there is a possibility of rain in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Amreli and Banaskantha as well as Narmada and Tapi in South Gujarat. Meanwhile, warnings have also been issued for strong winds. Wind speed of 30-40 kmph is expected in some parts for five days. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea for five days along the north coast of Gujarat.
However, for the next 3 to 4 days, strong winds will continue to prevail amidst cloudy sky. Hence people will get partial relief from the heat. The state’s highest temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bhavnagar on Friday. While in Ahmedabad, the maximum temperature decreased by 2 degrees to 39 degrees and the minimum temperature increased by 1 degree to 28.7 degrees.
