CBSE Schools reopen dates 2023 latest updates, CBSE schools reopen date postponed: Hot weather- parent pressure reverberates

The opening date of CBSE schools has been postponed due to parents’ request to postpone the school opening due to scorching heat.

CBSE schools are gearing up to resume after a month-long summer vacation. Most schools plan to open schools for all classes from June 12. Earlier, most of the schools had planned to open the schools for students above class 6 by June 5, but following the demand of parents and considering the weather conditions, the schools are scheduled to open again on June 12.

In previous years, schools opened for each batch of students on different days, i.e. 10 days apart, this year most of the schools opened simultaneously for all classes except the pre-primary section. Meanwhile, some of the CBSE schools are reportedly planning to open schools from June 5 to Class 12, while others are planning to open between June 10 and 15.

As summer vacation for students is coming to an end, teachers are busy preparing their schedules. Schools are busy training teachers according to changes in the National Curriculum Framework. School managements have started informing parents about the reopening of schools. Before students rejoin after vacation, schools conduct training sessions for teachers in line with the National Curriculum Framework as per the National Education Policy 2020.

“We are reopening the school on June 15 for all classes as we feel that teachers should be given considerable time for capacity building activities, prepare lesson plans as per National Education Policy, and acquire knowledge on integration of arts, sports and other subjects. Schools are also planning to hold orientation sessions to sensitize parents about the changes in the education system as the reopening dates of the schools draw nearer. We have also planned an orientation for parents on various topics, from changes under the National Education Policy-2020 to student health,” say some private school principals.
