According to the private weather agency Skymet, ‘Biparjay’ is currently far away from the west coast. Due to this, heavy rains are not expected over Coastal Karnataka, Goa and Konkan including Mumbai. Strong southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea will hit the west coast. Due to this, moderate rain is expected along the coast from south to north in 4 to 5 days.

This condition will help in further advance of Monsoon towards Coastal Karnataka, Goa and Mumbai during next four to five days. The sea condition along the coast will be rough during this period and therefore fishermen have been warned to stay away from the sea till June 15. It is not clear where Biperjoy will hit the coast. Its picture will be clear only after changing the direction on Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be an outbreak of heat wave in many parts of Bihar till Sunday. Heat wave conditions will prevail over plains of West Bengal, parts of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra, Odisha and Tamil Nadu till Monday and Tuesday.
