In such a situation, apart from Ranjit Singh Gill, CM Bhagwant Mann’s sister and Education Minister Gurmeet Singh, Punjab Sports Minister Meet Hair, many Akali leaders were also present in the reception party.

During this, Punjab’s famous singer Gurdas Maan was performing here. During this, the leaders blew lakhs of rupees 500 and 2000 rupees on Gurdas Maan. Someone made a video of it and put it on social media. The video became so viral that it reached the Income Tax Department. Seeing the video, the officials of the Income Tax Department swung into action at night itself and after gathering information about the whereabouts of Bhupinder Singh Saini alias Kala, Ranjit Singh Gill and Randhir Singh Dhira, raided them in the morning.

Income Tax teams are conducting the investigation at the office of Ranjit Singh Gill and the office of partner and former sarpanch Randhir Singh Dhira and at the house located in Phase-9. At the same time, Jaspreet Kaur Longia and her brother-in-law Bhupinder Singh Saini alias Kala Saini have also camped at Mohali Phase-9 house. At the same time, apart from the office of the builder of Oxford Street in Zirakpur, Ranjit Singh Gill’s Kothi number-18 in Sector-2 of Chandigarh, Ritika, a former employee of the company living in Gilco Heights, Bajwa and Ranjit Singh, a former employee living on Jhuggian Road. Gill has contested Kharar assembly elections twice.
Ranjit Singh Gill started real estate business from Kharar around 1990. Earlier he used to do real estate business in Ropar. In 2017, he was given the ticket by cutting the ticket of Jathedar Ujagar Singh Badali of Akali Dal. At the same time, SAD had given him a ticket in the assembly elections-2022 as well, but he lost to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Anmol Gagan Mann by a huge margin.
