Finance company representative arrested for murdering borrower

Shirur – The Ranjangaon MIDC police today arrested two people, including a representative from the same finance company, who killed a borrower with the intention of extorting the loan amount given by the finance company. Without any information about the murdered person and her relatives, the killers smiled when the police traced the murdered person only by effective use of social media.

The names of the arrested suspects are Pradeep Kailas Pidge (age-20) and Bhagwat Ranganath Pidge (age-23, both of Adgaon Sugaon, sub-district Purna, district Parbhani). Gave custody. The name of the murdered person is Prashantha Mayadhar Sahu (age-29, Res. Bindhanima, Dist. Tigiriya, Dist. Cuttack, Orissa), He was working in a private company in Ranjangaon MIDC for some days. Sahu’s body was found late on Wednesday (30th) night in an open space near the road leading to Expro India and Duncan Company in MIDC. As he could not be identified, initially the police registered sudden death. But after the post-mortem report revealed that he died due to injuries caused by throwing a stone on his head, a case of murder was registered against unknown persons yesterday.

Ranjangaon MIDC police circulated information about the deceased on various groups yesterday. Shirur sub-divisional police officer Yashwant Gawari, police inspector Balwant Mandge, assistant constable Dattatreya Shinde, police constable Vilas Ambekar, police constable Umesh Kutwal and Vijay Shinde visited the spot and thoroughly investigated the incident. After finding the relatives of the deceased Sahu and identifying the body, the police turned the wheels of the investigation fast. As the mobile phone of the deceased Sahu was also missing, when it was investigated on the basis of technical information, it was found that a large amount of money was transferred from the mobile phone to another account. From that, it was found that the deceased Sahu had taken an online loan from the Salary Finance Company, Veraise, a few days ago. After getting the names of the suspects Pradeep Pidge and Bhagwat Pidge from the company’s inquiry, the police traced them. They were about to flee from Chakan MIDC and Bhosari by train when the Ranjangaon MIDC police team caught them with the help of the police team of the local Crime Investigation Branch.

Police Inspector Mandge said that both of them have confessed to the murder. Pradeep Pidge is the representative of the finance company and he helped the deceased Sahu to clear the loan online. After the loan amount was deposited in Sahu’s account, Pidge along with his colleague came to Ranjangaon MIDC and took Sahu to a secluded place on the pretext of drinking alcohol and killed him by throwing a stone on his head after drinking alcohol and took away his mobile phone and ran away. Mandge said that Pidge did the class on his own bank account.
