Ghaziabad: With the making of Ghaziabad as Police Commissionerate, the work of strengthening the security system of Delhi-Meerut Expressway has also started. 42 such points have been identified by the administration between UP Gate and Bhojpur of the city, where about 350 CCTV cameras will be installed. All these cameras will be of three types. There will be a camera which will only keep an eye on the security system of the highway. The second camera will work to read the number plates of vehicles passing through here. At the same time, the third type of camera will be very hi-tech. It will be of zoom and rotation, which can be rotated in any direction. As soon as all these cameras are installed, the challans of the vehicles breaking the traffic rules will start automatically.

An important meeting was held with Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra and NHAI officials regarding the security arrangements of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. After which the teams of both the departments surveyed the expressway from UP Gate to Meerut border. After this survey, it was agreed to install 350 CCTV cameras at 42 points. Police Commissioner Ajay Mishra said that the work on this scheme will start within a week. It is expected that in the coming year, the traffic system on this expressway will be better and criminals will be caught easily.

With the improvement of the traffic system, crime will also be curbed.

These cameras will be installed between Bhojpur to Dasna, at Rasulpur Toll Plaza, between Dasna to UP Gate, at Dasna Toll Plaza, at all entry-exit gates and underpasses of National Highway 9. With the installation of these cameras, the administration will get many benefits. With the help of Video Incident Detection System (VIDS) cameras, stolen vehicles, chain snatchers can be caught easily. At the same time, challan action can be taken against the drivers who break the traffic rules while walking on the expressway. There will be a curb on vehicles without helmets, three rides and high speed on the expressway. Let us tell you that two-wheelers and three-wheelers are already banned on the expressway, but even after this, such vehicles are running a lot here. Till now their challan was not deducted, but with the installation of these cameras, they will also be controlled.
