If you do a hundred characters like that role, it’s a life set, but Sharafuka surprised – George Cora

George Kora is a rising Malayalam actor and director. George acted in the movie Premam directed by Alphonse Putran. The recently released film ‘Tholvi FC’ was directed by George. Sharafuddin played the lead role in the film.

Now George Cora is talking about Sharafuddin. George says that he has been surprised by Sharafuddin’s growth and was eager to know how Sharafuddin would act in his film Tholvi FC. George was talking to Mirchi Malayalam.

Sharafuka Girirajan was a chicken when we were making love. In my mind, Sharafuka is really like that. But then there is a growth of Sharafuka as an actor that shocked me and everyone in that love. I was stunned to see it.

Pulli could have played a hundred other characters like that Girirajan Kozhi and made life easy.

But he was very conscientious and kept trying, saying no, I have to break it and try something new.

Therefore, when I was writing the story of Tholvi movie, Sharafukan was the first face that appeared in my mind to play the role of Oommen in it. It’s not because I have access to Pulli or know Pulli. Being a writer, I could tell the story with any actor I wanted.

But I decided to give the role to Sharafuka because I was curious to know what Pulli would do if this role was given to Sharafuka. I find Sharafuka to be a very exciting actor.

Malayalam cinema has yet to explore Pulli a lot,’ says George Kora.
