Director Mani Ratnam talks about the best Tamil movies he has seen recently. Mani Ratnam’s latest upcoming film is ‘Thug Life’ starring Kamal Haasan. Thug Life is also the most awaited film by the South Indian audience.
Mamannan directed by Mari Selvaraj, P. Mani Ratnam says that Koozhangal, directed by S. Vinod Raj, is his favorite Tamil film he has seen in recent times.
“Pariyer has seen Perumal, Mamannan has not. I met Maveeran and Mamannan yesterday because they were coming here. Best Movies I like Maveran very much. It was a completely different superhero story. I am also a big fan of Vithutalai movie. Vetri Maran knows the films he has done very well.
Koozhangal is one of the best Tamil movies I have seen after a long time. It is a very special movie. Its making is outstanding. It was amazing how non-actors managed to do such long shots.” In an interview with Baradwaj Rangan at the Galata Plus Round Table, Mani Ratnam talked about his favorite Tamil films.
