Two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed
Two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JM) terrorists were killed in Sopore area, police said on Thursday. The encounter took place in Bomai area of Sopore town on Wednesday night after security forces launched a cordon and search operation, a police official said. Security personnel said that two terrorists were killed in the operation. According to the information that the terrorists are likely to target common people and carry out attacks, the police killed them in an encounter. However, a civilian was also injured in the exchange of fire.
The army was caught in the act of planning attacks on civilians
A senior police officer said that the terrorists killed in the incident were associated with the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed and both of them were planning attacks on civilians. It has been revealed that the search operation for the terrorists is continuing. The police have identified the slain Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists as Mohammed Rafi of Sopore & Kaiser Ashraf of Pulwama. Terrorist Rafi has been booked under PSA twice in the past. Police say that both of them are involved in many cases of terrorist offences.

Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar tweeted that they were planning to attack civilians in Sopore area as per information received. Currently, the common people are living in fear in the ongoing battle between the security forces and the terrorists. They are in a state of confusion, not understanding what is happening when and where.
