Stock Market Today: Due to the continuing decline in the global market, the domestic market is still under pressure. When the market opened on Thursday after a day off, there was a big decline in the beginning itself. Both the major indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty started trading poorly today. Most of the Sensex companies were caught in the fall in the early trade itself.
Big drop in pre-open session
The domestic market was in the grip of a fall in the pre-open session itself. In the pre-open session, the Sensex was trading below 58,750 points, weakening by about 800 points. NSE Nifty was trading near 17,485 points down by about 275 points. At the same time, the futures contract of SGX Nifty in Singapore was trading at 17,490.5, down 19.5 points at 9 am. This was indicating that the domestic market can start trading today with a fall. At 09:20 in the morning, the Sensex was trading near 58,850 points, down by about 700 points. On the other hand, Nifty was trading near 17,565 points, down almost 200 points.

Earlier on Wednesday there was no business in the market. Trade was closed on BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty due to Ganesh Chaturthi. Earlier on Tuesday, there was a great rally in the market. After the close of trading on Tuesday, the Sensex had climbed 1564.45 points (2.70 per cent) to close at 59,537.07. Similarly, the Nifty gained 446.40 points (2.58 per cent) to close at 17,759.30. On Monday, there was a huge fall in the domestic market. After the close of trading, the Sensex fell 861.25 points (1.46 per cent) to 57,972.62 and the Nifty was down 246 points (1.40 per cent) to close at 17,312.90. The domestic market has been under pressure since last week. During the last week, the Sensex had lost more than 812 points.
Big drop in global market
On Wednesday, there was a decline in the US market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.88 per cent. On the other hand, the tech-focused index Nasdaq Composite was down 0.56 percent and the S&P 500 (S&P 500) was down 0.78 percent. Asian markets have also fallen in Thursday’s trading today. Japan’s Nikkei is trading at a loss of 1.49 percent. At the same time, the Hang Seng of Hong Kong had fallen by 0.85 percent. China’s Shanghai Composite is up 0.34 percent.
