According to the guidelines issued by the state government, Shawarma should not be prepared in open and dusty environment. After four hours, do not use the leftover meat in shawarma. The date and time must be accurately marked on the parcel. It should also be properly recorded that it should be used within one hour of purchase.

The government has come out with new guidelines in the context of food poisoning due to eating shawarma. Food safety license is required for all food preparation. The same applies to Shawarma.
Cook and delivery person must have medical fitness certificate. Cooks must have food safety training and certification. Goods should be procured from FSSAI approved suppliers only. There is also a strict requirement to consume vegetables.
