India’s help during Covid, Ukraine war: Bangladesh PM thanks
Dhaka: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has thanked Prime Minister Modi for providing the Covid vaccine and rescuing the Indian students who were stranded there along with the Indian students who were stranded there during the Russian attack on Ukraine.

Sheikh Hasina is coming to India tomorrow (September 5) on a state visit. In this regard, he gave an interview to ANI news agency:

I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for helping India when Russia attacked Ukraine. Bangladeshi students stranded in Ukraine came to Poland seeking asylum. From there, Indian students along with Bangladeshi students were brought under security by the Indian government. By this India has shown clear friendship. I thank Prime Minister Modi for this step.

I would like to thank Prime Minister Modi for providing vaccines to friendly countries under the Government of India’s vaccination programme. These vaccines were given not only to Bangladesh but also to South Asian countries. It was very helpful. This is a creative initiative taken by Modi. Apart from this, we bought and used the vaccine with our own money.

We are facing a covid pandemic. We are watching the Ukraine-Russia war. So our economy is strong despite some impacts. We are paying the loans on time. Thus, credit ratio is under control and economic growth is going as planned. Bangladesh will not face economic crisis like Sri Lanka. This was said by Sheikh Hasina.
