According to former minister GM Sarori, Azad will be accorded a grand welcome on his arrival from Delhi on Sunday morning and will be accompanied by a procession to the public meeting venue in Sainik Colony. Sarori is among more than two dozen MLAs who resigned from the Congress in support of Azad.

Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party on August 26. Apart from resigning, Azad also attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
