The Congress has strongly condemned the rude behavior of BJP MLA Arvind Limbavali to a woman who came to file a complaint while reviewing the floods in Karnataka.
BJP MLA and former minister Arvind Limbarvali on Friday visited the flood-affected area of Vadtur Lake under his Mahadevapura constituency in Bengaluru with officials. At that time, a woman named Mary approached Arvind Limbavali to complain about land encroachment in her constituency. He also tried to present the complaint that he had prepared for this. Scolding the woman, Arvind Limbavali threatened, ‘If you repeat the same thing, I will speak in different words’. Annoyed by this, the lady asked to speak to her respectfully.
After hearing this, Arvind Limbavali got angry and came close to beating the lady. ‘You are occupying the land. What’s up with you? What honors you? Aren’t you ashamed? Go from here. Get rid of this woman’ he shouted.
After this, the woman who came to file a complaint was taken to the police station by two female policemen. The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media from Saturday morning. The news was also telecasted in the visual media. The Congress has strongly condemned the incident.
In Bengaluru on Saturday, Congress state president DK Shivakumar said, ‘BJP MLA. Arvind Limbavali’s behavior is reprehensible. He has lost his eligibility to be a member of the Legislative Assembly. The BJP government which does not come forward to solve people’s problems should not continue in power,” he said.
A month ago, Arvind Limbavali’s daughter allegedly misbehaved with the policemen who stopped her for speeding in Bengaluru and threatened them in a video that went viral on social media. In this case, now the video related to Arvind Limbavali’s behavior is being condemned on social media.
