Axis Bank Fixed Deposits | Leading private bank Axis Bank has increased interest rates on fixed deposits with a maturity of less than six months and less than Rs 2 crore. It announced on Friday that the increased interest rates will come into effect immediately. It said that interest rates on fixed deposits with tenure of seven days to six months are being increased. The interest rate will increase from 2.50 to 2.75 percent on fixed deposits with maturity of 7 days to 29 days. Axis Bank has increased the interest rate on fixed deposits within 30 days to three months from 3.25 percent and on FDs within three months to six months from 3.50 to 3.75 percent. It said that interest rates on fixed deposits of other tenures will continue as usual.

Interest rates on Axis Bank Fixed Deposits are as follows

Axis Bank offers low interest rate on short tenure fixed deposits and high interest rate on long tenure fixed deposits. If you want to earn more income but don’t need immediate funds, opening a fixed deposit scheme with high tenure is the solution.

Senior citizens above 60 years of age get higher interest than regular depositors.
In some FD schemes like Fixed Deposit Plus, if you invest higher amounts, the interest rate will also be higher.
