Under the auspices of Bihar State Badminton Association, Senior and Under 19 State Badminton Championship will be organized at Ambedkar Bhawan in the city from 10th to 14th October. Players from the district have been selected to participate in this championship. Under the supervision of District Badminton Association, district level trials were organized on Saturday and Sunday at Ambedkar Bhawan in the city. In which male players of senior and under 19 category showed their talent. Some matches were played in the senior category. In the senior category doubles trial match, the pair of Chittaranjan Patel and Mushtaq defeated the pair of Akram and Meghnath by 21-08 and 21-12. The pair of Avinash Mittal and Aman Kumar defeated the pair of Neeraj and Saqib 21-17 and 21-12.

The pair of Ashish Tiwari and Rajneesh defeated the pair of Mintu Kumar and Avinath Pandey by 21-15 and 21-13. Whereas, Kumar Tarun Bhanu and Suman Kumar got walk over. The winning players were selected for the State Championship. Whereas, in Under 19 singles, Shakib defeated Warish Ijaz 21-07 and 21-16. On the other hand, in Under 19 doubles, pairs of Danish and Yash, Om and Umer, Farhan and Rehan and Mayank and Arun were selected. Danish, Yash, Saqib, Aman, Umer, Om, Mayank and Arun were selected in the singles category of this category. Whereas, in the senior category men, Avinash Mittal, Dr. Ashish Tiwari, Neeraj, Rohit Gupta, Kumar Tarun Bhanu, Imteyaz and Mahfooz were selected. District Badminton Association Secretary Vijay Kumar Rai, Treasurer Sanjay Kumar, Chief Referee Sudhir Kumar, Advisor Manish Ranjan alias Minku Singh and Rajiv Kumar Raju etc. were present on the occasion.
