There was often fighting between father and son.
During interrogation of the family members, it was revealed that Ganesh and Deepak used to fight often. Because Ganesh was addicted to drugs and his son Deepak kept interrupting him. Therefore, in the murder of Deepak, the police initially believed that Ganesh might have killed his son Deepak only because he opposed drug addiction.
Father confessed his crime
Ganesh Prasad had fled from the spot after killing his son on Sunday night (match day). On Monday night, when the police arrested Ganesh on charges of murdering his son and interrogated him, he made a shocking revelation. Ganesh told that at night I was watching the World Cup match between India and Australia. During this time the son switched off the TV. He said, first cook food. This irritated me and I started arguing with him. When the fight escalated, I got angry. In anger I strangled him with a wire (cable).
In this case, ACP Brij Narayan Singh, in-charge of Chakeri, says that there used to be frequent fights between the two. After his arrest, the father admitted that his son had switched off the TV while watching TV at night. This led to an argument between the two. Later, when the fight escalated, Ganesh strangled his son Deepak with an electric wire. There used to be disputes between them regarding drug addiction. Switching off the TV during the match further escalated the fight.
