Sanju Samson’s disrespect in the Indian team is being heavily criticized on social media. Sanju’s fans on social media protested against Sanju Samson being denied the opportunity to play in fixed over formats like Asia Cup, Asian Games and World Cup. Now, after the World Cup, the BCCI has also refused entry to the Indian team for the T20 series against Australia.
But S Sreesanth, who was a Malayalee player and former Indian pacer, has clarified that Sanju’s current lack of form is the main reason for being denied opportunities. Sreesanth said in an interview to Sportskeeda as a sports media that the performance of the star in domestic cricket for Kerala was very poor recently. In his interview, Shri also pointed out that Sanju’s poor shot selection and dismissal was the main reason for the defeat against Assam.

“When the World Cup team was announced before the T20, Sanju’s fans said that Sanju is fit to be in the team. But what I have to say is that Sanju hasn’t given a special performance in the ODIs. There has been no performance from Sanju’s side in the team that reached the finals, KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. Yes, Sanju is a good player, but against Australia. The current form of the star is not very good when it comes to getting a place in the T20 squad.
Sanju, who led Kerala to the quarter-finals in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, scored only one half-century in his total batting. In the crucial match against Assam in the quarter-finals, Ryan was dismissed by Parag with a poor shot on the first ball. According to him, as a Malayali, Sanju wants to join the Indian team. But from the point of view of an Indian, Sanju is not fit to get a place in the team against Australia with the performance of the current player. Looking ahead, Sanju can make it to the Indian team only if he outperforms KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant, who is recovering from injury. Sanju gives more importance to IPL than Kerala. If he performs well there, the Malayali star may be able to find a place in the Indian team. Sreesanth said, “Sreesanth said that Sanju is not fit to be included in the T20 squad against Australia before he stops performing for my state Kerala.
Last day, BCCI announced the Indian team for the T20 series against Australia. T20 specialist Suryakumar Yadav has been given the task of leading India in the BCCI series where all the key players have been rested. VVS Laxman will coach India instead of Rahul Dravid. India have a five-match series against Australia. The first match will be played in Visakhapatnam on November 23. Then the matches will be organized in Thiruvananthapuram, Kariyavattam, Guwahati, Raipur and Bengaluru. The match at Kariyavatta is on November 26. The last match of the series will be played in Bengaluru on December 3.
India’s squad against Australia – Suryakumar Yadav, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasath Krishna, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar.
