Ethical Cricket Club won the ongoing PS Cricket Trophy tournament at Jhalani Tools ground. Ethical also beat Loyal by 75 runs. Akash Borade won the man of the match award in this match.
After winning the toss and batting first, Ethical scored 195 for 8 in 20 overs. The team got off to a bad start as opener Mohit Ghanekar could not even crack the pumpkin. Mukul Jaju scored 37 runs in 17 balls hitting 9 fours. Young batsman Akshay Borade scored a half century. In this innings, he scored 57 runs off 32 balls with 10 fours. Jayesh Vaishnav cleared the hurdle by tripling him. Rishikesh Sapkal added 16 runs. Dheeraj Bahure in the middle order scored 23 runs in 20 balls. Abhijit Salve scored 24 runs in 22 balls. Shivaay’s Gaurav Khade conceded 41 runs and took 3 wickets. G. Sachin took 2 wickets and Chaitanya Jadhav and Jayesh Vaishnav took one wicket each.
In reply, Lionel managed to score 120 for 8 in the allotted overs. Vishwajit Rajput scored 29 runs in 19 overs hitting 5 fours and 1 six. Abhishek Dapke scored 10 runs. The batsmen in the middle order failed. Ambadas Haque scored 21 off 31 balls with 2 fours. Chaitanya Jadhav remained unbeaten on 16 runs. Mohit Ghanekar, who failed in batting, performed brilliantly in bowling. Mohit dispatched 4 batsmen for 15 runs. Dheeraj Bahure, Kshitij Patil and Suraj Murmude took one wicket each.
Benix beat SGS
In the second match, Benix Sports beat SGS by 64 runs. Bennix scored 162 for 9 on the strength of Sheikh Sadiq (47 runs and 2 wickets) and Rizwan Qureshi (3 wickets). Akash Lokhande took 4 wickets. In reply, SGS ended their innings at just 98 runs in 16.4 overs. All-rounder Akash Lokhande scored 23 runs and Pratik Bodhgire scored 21 runs. Ishan Rai, Sheikh Sadiq and Athar Pathan took two wickets each.
