Vardhannapet, November 18; He is reaping medals in karate with interest and hard practice. Despite the financial difficulties, he is moving forward with courage. He has won many medals at the state, national and international levels and is a role model for the youth. He won medals in four international level competitions. He excelled at the national level 42 times. He was selected for the International Games to be held in Malaysia in December. Kusumam Bhukya Ramesh, a tribal from Wardhannapet mandal in Warangal district, is practicing with the aim of playing in the Commonwealth Games.

Bhukya Ramesh from Chandruthanda, Vardhannapet mandal completed his 10th class, intermediate at Tribal Welfare Gurukulam, Ethurunagaram, Mulugu district. He trained under Karate Master Mohammad Abbu in Ethurunagaram. Later, Ramesh showed talent at district, state, national and international levels. Winning first place in any competition is a good incentive for Masters. Despite the lack of basic facilities, with the encouragement of his teachers, he constantly practiced hard and got good training. He defeated his opponents 4 times in international competitions and won medals. In the 2017 International Games held in Maharashtra, he won the final against Iran’s competitor Rudi. He defeated a Japanese player in the final of the competition held in Dubai on March 5, 2018. He won the first place in the competitions held in Nepal on April 23, 2019 and won the third place in the international competitions held in Madhya Pradesh in November 2019 against a Canadian athlete. Ramesh, who has won many medals at the national level 42 times, is also excelling at the international level and is an inspiration to other athletes.

Selection for international competitions next December
Bhukya Ramesh has been selected for the International KL Mayor’s Cup-2022 karate competition to be held in Malaysia on December 2nd and 4th. Athletes from around 14 countries will participate in this. Along with Ramesh, seven players from Telangana state were selected for this competition. It is noteworthy that five of these youths are Ramesh’s disciples. After the death of Ramesh’s father Bhukya Papayya, his mother Padma helped Ramesh by doing labor. Ramesh is currently supporting his family by working as a PET in Alforce School in Vardhannapet town and training students.

The goal is to get selected for the Commonwealth: Bhukya Ramesh
The aim is to participate on behalf of the country in the Commonwealth Games to be held in Spain in the month of September 2023. Having already won medals in four international competitions, I have a good rank. If they perform well in two other competitions along with a gold medal in the competitions to be held in Malaysia in December, they will be in the list of athletes who will be selected for the Commonwealth Games. That is why I am practicing Niram Taran. Traveling to other countries for competitions and expenses are financially difficult. If sports fans contribute financially, they will excel in karate and bring good name to the state and country. Donors are also looking for financial support to go to Malaysia next December.
