East London (South Africa): Star opener Smriti Mandana (74 not out off 51 balls; 10 fours, one six) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (56 not out off 35 balls; 8 fours) blasted unbeaten half-centuries as India women’s team registered their second successive win in the triangular T20 series.
India won the match against West Indies by 56 runs after midnight on Monday. Batting first, Team India scored 167 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Smriti and Harman’s performance was below par.. Yashtika Bhatia (18) and Harleen (12) did not mind. After that, Windies were limited to 111 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Smriti Mandana was awarded ‘Player of the Match’. In the next match, India will face South Africa on Saturday.
