The prestigious four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 between India and Australia begins on February 9. With a win in this series, the Indian team can enter the finals of the World Test Championship. The list of commentators for the four-match series was recently released by the broadcaster. More names can be added to this list. However, commentators signed so far include Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Harsha Bhogle, Murali Karthik, Sanjay Manjrekar, Matthew Hayden and Ajit Agarkar. Also, veteran wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, who has not yet retired but is almost out of the Indian team, will also make his commentary debut in India in this series.
Karthik had also previously commentated in The Hundred in 2021, a league in England as well as the one-off Test between India and England. However, after he returned to the Indian team, he moved away from the field.
Known as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the four-match series will begin in Nagpur from February 9. After that, the second match will be played in Delhi, the third match in Dharamsala and the last match will be played in Ahmedabad. Currently, the Indian cricket team holds the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India had won this series under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane in 2020-2021.
