SMS Alert: SBI, HDFC Bank customers will receive an SMS mentioning the PAN Card-Aadhaar link. Let’s see if it is true.
SBI, India’s largest public sector bank, is at the forefront of introducing technology-based services to its customers and strengthening security features.
As banks adopt multiple security measures to make online money transactions safe, hackers are also using new techniques to launder money. In this way, the current trend of PAN card-Aadhaar linking is being attempted by hackers.
Hackers send hack link to SBI bank customers through sms. In it, they also send a link saying that if you don’t link your PAN card, your bank account will be blocked soon. Customers are likely to click on the fraudulent link as the message is similar to the SMS sent from the bank. So avoid such sms and don’t click on the links.
What happens when you click?
If you open that link it will take you to a banking type website. It will almost look like the original bank website. If you enter your account details as if it is a bank website then all your money will be stolen.
