In the FIFA World Cup 2022, Cameroon created history by defeating Brazil 1-0. Cameroon has become the first African team to beat Brazil at the FIFA World Cup. However, despite this historic victory, Cameroon could not reach the quarter-finals. Hence, the team finished third in Group-G. After the victory, Abubakar caused some jubilation, which forced him to leave the field.

Captain Vincent Abubakar was the hero of Cameroon’s victory in this match played late on Friday night. He scored a brilliant goal for his team minutes before the end of the match (92nd minute). This goal ensured the victory of the team. After this historic goal, Vincent Abubakar was cheered so loudly that he had to leave the field.

Abubakar took off his shirt and threw it on the ground in jubilation. His actions did not go down well with the match referee and he showed the Cameroon captain a yellow card. As this was his second yellow card of the match, the referee also showed him a red card. As a result, Abubakar had to leave the field.

With Brazil already in the sub-quarterfinals, they tried their bench strength in the match against Cameroon, which was the main reason for their defeat. Brazil have lost a match in the group stage for the first time in 24 years. Earlier in the 1998 World Cup, they had to accept a 1-2 defeat against Norway.
