Sixth case of Nipah virus has been reported in Kerala. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the mortality rate of Nipah virus ranges from 40 to 70 percent. This death rate is much higher than corona virus. Corona death rate is 2-3 percent. ICMR said that the exact reason why Nipah virus is spreading in Kerala is still unknown. Meanwhile, two people have died due to Nipah virus in Kerala so far. But after Corona, a new virus is spreading. Now this Nipah virus is making people more scared. Now Nipah virus is shaking the state of Kerala. Now the sixth case has been registered and people are panicking.

A 39-year-old man in Kozhikode has been diagnosed with Nipah virus. According to the state health department, the active cases have increased to four. A total of six cases have been reported in Kerala so far. Two of them died. The body of the person who died of Nipah is still under examination at the Kozhikode hospital, the Kerala Health Ministry said. The Kerala government has made huge arrangements to prevent the infection. Kozhikode has been declared a quarantine zone in the identified Gram Panchayat.

According to ICMR DG Rajeev Bahl, monoclonal antibody doses are available for only ten patients. Antibodies found in our body when produced in a laboratory are called monoclonal antibodies. It is useful in the treatment of many diseases including cancer. 20 doses of monoclonal antibody were ordered. That means they can be given at the beginning of transition. The effect of monoclonal antibodies has not been examined.

213 people are in high risk category:

Samples were taken from 15 people in the high risk category who were in contact with the deceased. According to the data of health authorities, there are 950 people on the contact list of infected people. 213 of them are in high risk category. This contact list also includes 287 health officials. Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Health Dr Bharti Pawar visited the National Virus Experiment School in Pune on Thursday to learn about the measures taken to prevent Nipah virus.
