Lithuanians are said to fear that they could be Russian President Vladimir Putin’s next target if Russia wins the end of the Ukraine war.
Mindakas Liuduvinkas from Lithuania, a volunteer sniper in the Ukrainian International Brigade, says he has other reasons for participating in the war in Ukraine.
Fight against Russia
A self-proclaimed patriot, Mindakas believes he is protecting his own country by fighting against Russia in the Ukraine war.
“We have to stop Russia in Ukraine,” he said aggressively, and prepared for the next attack.
Lithuania is one of Russia’s neighbors that is part of NATO, the Western military alliance.
It is worth noting that various countries have long been vocally warning about Russia’s aggressive plans and Putin’s intention to make the West weak and unstable.
