DDA Assistant Director dies in road accident in Palwal, car collides with tractor-trolley on National Highway

Jagran correspondent, Palwal. Assistant Director of DDA (Delhi Development Authority), who was returning home after performing Govardhan Parikrama, died in a road accident near village Baghaula. This accident occurred when the assistant director’s car collided with a tractor-trolley on National Highway-19 near village Baghaula. Gadpuri police station has handed over the body of the deceased to his relatives after getting the post-mortem done at the District Civil Hospital.

According to Gadpuri police station in-charge Rajveer Singh, in the case, Nakul, a resident of Arvind Nagar, Delhi, has lodged a complaint that his brother-in-law’s elder brother Shubham Bhardwaj was posted as Assistant Director in DDA. Shubham Bhardwaj lived with his family in Sector 35, Faridabad. Shubham Bhardwaj’s family is originally from Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar.

On November 19, he and Shubham Bhardwaj were returning home after circumambulating Govardhan. He (Nakul) was driving the car. His car collided with a tractor-trolley on National Highway-19 near village Baghaula at around 6 am on Sunday morning. Shubham, who was sitting in the car, was seriously injured due to the collision. With the help of passers-by, he quickly took Shubham to the District Civil Hospital, where the doctors declared Shubham dead.

The accident occurred due to negligence of the tractor driver

The complainant has alleged that the tractor-trolley was parked in the middle of National Highway-19. No reflectors and indicators were burning on the tractor. This accident happened due to the negligence of the tractor driver.

Police arrested the absconding driver

According to Gadpuri police station in-charge Rajveer Singh, the police have registered a case in the matter. After post-mortem, the dead body has been handed over to the relatives. After the accident, the driver ran away leaving the tractor-trolley on the spot. Police reached the spot and took possession of the tractor trolley. Later the police also arrested the driver. The accused driver has been identified as Suresh, a resident of village Sewli.

Crying in bad condition of relatives

Due to Shubham’s death, his relatives are in bad condition and crying. According to Shubham’s father Sitaram Bhardwaj, his son was very promising. He cannot believe that his son is no more in this world.
