Ramesh Koli was living with his wife and son at Shelgaon in Jalgaon taluka. He was earning his livelihood by working as a farm labourer. On Saturday On November 18, at 5 am, Ramesh Koli went to the Annapurna Mata Mandir near the dam for darshan. When he went to wash his hands and feet in the river bed of the dam, he lost his balance and fell into the water and drowned. As Ramesh Koli, who had been gone since early morning, did not return home even till late afternoon, his family started searching for him. But no information was available about them and they were not being traced.
Two days later, around 7 am on Monday, Hemant Koli, Bhagwan Koli and Subhash Koli from Shelgaon went to swim in the Shelgaon dam. They found the dead body of Ramesh Koli, who had drowned in the dam, floating on the water. After the villagers informed the police about the incident, Nashirabad police station staff rushed to the spot. After that, the dead body was brought to the district government medical college after a panchnama was done. A case of sudden death has been registered in Nashirabad police station regarding this incident. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Faudar Harish Patil.
