New Delhi: The seventeen year old boy wanted to become a cricketer. Now lying on the hospital bed, he is regretting his mistake. Neither would he light a firecracker by holding it in his hand on the night of Diwali, nor would the firecracker explode in his hand, nor would three fingers on his hand have to be amputated. A 17 year old teenager has been admitted in the burn department of Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) since the night of Diwali. Dr. Mukesh Kumar, who treated him, told that his mother was very scared. She was not even ready to be taken to the hospital. But the wound was so big that his aunt brought the child to the hospital. He said that after treatment he was stable, but his left hand was badly torn.

3 fingers and 20% palm cut off
The doctor said that an attempt was made to save the hand, but three fingers had to be amputated. 20 percent part of the palm was also cut. For treatment, we have performed flap surgery below the navel by taking 5 x 8 cm skin. Hopefully this will improve blood circulation in the hands. But a hand without a thumb is of no use. The thumb of a hand can be made by cutting a toe. But there is also a risk of failure of 5 to 10 percent. He said that he will be kept admitted for three weeks, only after that he can be discharged.
Poisonous air is making people sick in Delhi, patients in hospitals have increased, experts advise to go out of the house less.
Dream of becoming a cricketer broken
The doctor said that now he is deeply regretting this incident. He says that now I will never be able to become a cricketer. If only I had not made such a mistake, I would have been living my dream today. At the same time, the child’s mother says that I appeal to all the children to never leave firecrackers in their hands, do not make such a mistake which can spoil the rest of your life. Doctor Mukesh also said that sometimes Diwali gives such a wound that it remains in pain for the whole life.
