Under these circumstances, the court has fixed December 4 as the next date of hearing. The issue of framing of charges against Congress Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala was heard on November 7 in the court of Special Judge MP/MLA Avnish Gautam. In which the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Congress spokesperson Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala. Also wrote a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner asking him to ensure his presence on 21st November. ADGC Vinay Kumar Singh presented the case on behalf of the prosecution.
The court said that this old case of the year 2000 has to be disposed of immediately on the orders of the Supreme Court. Non-warrant has been issued against the accused for several dates, yet he is not appearing. Many Congress leaders, including the then Congress Youth President Randeep Singh Surjewala, were accused of vandalizing the Commissionerate premises and creating obstruction in government work in protest against the arrest of Congress leaders in the much-discussed Sanvasini incident. Charges have to be framed against Surjewala in this case.
